CENTRAL BUCKS HIGH SCHOOL WEST
Attendance Policies and Procedures
Central Bucks School District attendance policies conform to the Pennsylvania School Code sections 1326 to 1333 dealing with compulsory school attendance.
“Every child of compulsory school age having a legal residence in this Commonwealth… is required to attend a day school in which the subjects and activities prescribed by the standards of the State Board of Education are taught.”
TO REPORT A FULL DAY ABSENCE, please send an email to the Attendance Office at firstname.lastname@example.org or leave a message on the CB West 24-hour Attendance Hotline (267)-893-2567. Please include your student’s name, grade, date of absence and reason. If a student misses a full day for a legitimate reason, s/he must submit a note to the Attendance Office within three school days. Excusable and un-excusable reasons are listed in the student handbook.
TO REQUEST AN EARLY DISMISSAL, please call (267)-893-2524. On the day of the appointment, the student must report to the Attendance Office and present a note explaining the reason for leaving school. If permission is granted, a pass will be given to the student. The student will show the pass to the teacher and should report to the Attendance Office to sign out of the building. When returning after the appointment, the student must report to the Attendance Office before returning to class.
